Literature meets light rail on Saturday, September 13, when Four Chambers Press presents the first-ever literary flash mob.

The independent literary magazine is all about connecting and creating community (hence the name), and what better circumstances for connecting and creating than while in motion with a captive audience? Poets and storytellers will congregate at the light rail station at Camelback Road and Central Avenue to board a train and entertain. Performance pieces will range from three to five minutes in length and will connect to a theme of, you guessed it, public transportation. Organizers promise “it’ll be like the No Pants Light Rail Ride but with more literature and more pants.”

The free event starts at 1 p.m. Find more information at www.fourchamberspress.com/fun.
