Downtown art staple displays more than just a string of lights You may be used to driving around high-priced neighborhoods to check out pretty light displays during the holiday season, but downtown’s Alwun House is offering a different type of illuminating experience. Through year’s end, the renowned art gallery presents “Lighthouse,” a group display of more than 30 artists’ glowing works in a variety of media. Fittingly, the gallery goes dark for the exhibit so viewers can really bask in the artistic glow given off by the pieces that include sculpture, lamps, light boxes, and furniture. And here’s another bonus: The exhibit extends outside into the garden, creating a warm and fuzzy atmosphere that’s a lot more unique than strings of lights on rooftops.
