Stop wasting your money on X-ray specs and plastic vomit. The next best thing to come out of a comic book is coming to the Valley. For two shows only, Austin-based live-action graphic novel The Intergalactic Nemesis: Target Earth will take to the stage. Using only three actors, a Foley artist, and a pianist for score, this 1930-set sci-fi send-up shows more than 1,250 big screen comic illustrations flying off the pages and into the hearts of geeks everywhere.

See The Intergalactic Nemesis at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, at Mesa Arts Center, One East Main Street. Tickets range from $29 to $42. Visit www.intergalacticnemesis.com, www.mesaartscenter.com or call the box office at 480-644-6500.
