This week: The Polish Fix at The Arrogant Butcher Sometimes, all we really need is a quiet place to grab a cool cocktail. That’s why The Arrogant Butcher, Sam Fox’s Downtowm Phoenix endeavor inside CityScape, is one of our favorites Downtown — especially this time of year. On a Monday night, we easily grabbed a spot at the bar and enjoyed a drink that brought back childhood memories of our favorite warm weather icy treat: Snow cones, baby. The Polish Fix is our new summer cocktail fix, piled high with crushed ice, drizzled with smashed berries and loaded with vodka.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there. (Recipe after the jump.) Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz. Belvedere Vodka In a rocks glass, combine vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Load a glass with crushed ice the same way you would a snow cone, packing that puppy high with icy goodness. Drizzle raspberry slurry over the top. Warning: A mound of crushed ice plus vodka may equal some slurry words.
Since there’s really no better accessory than a cocktail in your hand,
each week brings you a tasty adult beverage from one of our favorite
drinking establishments, complete with recipe.
