As of this writing, the Phoenix Suns’ record is pretty abysmal — they’ve lost almost twice as many games as they’ve won. But the numbers don’t tell the whole story. Look a little closer and you’ll see that the Suns are among the league’s leaders in close games and overtime contests this season. Nine of their games have been decided by three points or fewer, and our boys’ 4-5 record in these close contests is the highest in the NBA. They love keeping games close, and while that’s not great for your win-loss record it is awesome for spectators. Winning by one point is so much sweeter than winning by 30.
