There was a recent episode of Hoarders where an “artist” couldn’t purge her junk because there was a chance that she would use it in an art piece. At one point, the camera panned over to a couple of her “completed works.”
Yikes. You should have seen that stuff.
Though “Steel Jam Sculptures” was inspired from a similar consciousness, the exhibiting artist Ludvic – born in the Sudan, schooled in Egypt and Switzerland, and employed at Andy Warhol’s “Factory” and by Yves Saint Laurent – is a far cry from that super weird television series. His sculptures are, in fact, punctiliously gathered, recycled, and manipulated into dexterous compositions.
