So whether you need someone to light a fire in your soul or under your, well, you know, you’re safest best is to buy a ticket to the Arizona Creative Writing Conference & Collegiate Poetry Slam. The event will offer informative sessions on modern day playwriting, screenwriting, poetry, finding your place in fiction and non, plus an inside look at the world of publishing. The day will conclude with a poetry slam hosted by international slam poet Jeremiah Blue. The wordsmithing runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, at the 245 West Second Street, Mesa.
