Adam Richman, host of Man v. Food on the Travel Channel, took on an 11-pound, 30-inch meat-covered pizza in Atlanta, a 7.5-pound hamburger in Memphis, and a 72-ounce steak in Amarillo. Now, the kinda-looks-like-Fred-Savage feaster has taken the Ultimate Slider Challenge at the Chompie’s location in Tempe.
In March, and under super-secret conditions, Richman took the challenge, which consists of eating 12 “Jewish Sliders” (mini-challah rolls filled with beef brisket, jack cheese and a potato pancake) and a mountain of onion strings in 30 minutes or less.
So, how’d he do?
Chompie’s lips are sealed, but the cram-fest conclusion will be revealed on the show when it airs during the new season of Man v. Food sometime between mid-June and mid-July.

“Adam was a super-nice guy and the Chompie’s family enjoyed meeting him and the rest of the Man v. Food crew,” says Neal Borenstein, a member of the family that owns and operates Chompie’s. “Being two Jewish boys from New York, we really hit it off in the kitchen, and Adam felt right at home.”
To celebrate, Chompie’s will offer their Jewish Sliders for just $.99 each from 10:30 a.m. until closing on the day of the broadcast. Stay tuned to TV Dinner for the mid-May premiere date.
