The world of a food snob is an often-confusing world of trends, vocabulary and kitchen appliances. Here are a few definitions that might help you with the illustration:
Alton Brown: an American television personality best known for his roles on shows including Good Eats, Iron Chef America, and The Next Iron Chef on Food Network.
Kale: (or borecole) is a form of cabbage.

Salud: Spanish for “cheers.”
Ramekin: (a.k.a. bouillon bowl) a small glass or glazed ceramic serving bowl.
