Breaking beer news, drunks!

Representatives of Phoenix beer distributors Crescent Crown announced Wednesday that Avery Brewing Co. will once again begin sending its beers to Arizona. Bottles and cans from the Colorado-based brewery should start reappearing on our shelves as early as mid-November.

Dedicated beer geeks will recall that Avery pulled out Arizona and seven other states in April 2011 due to limited production capacity coupled with skyrocketing hometown demand. It was originally expected that the brewery wouldn’t return to the state until its new 95,000 square-foot facility in Boulder, Colo. opened in 2014.

Avery’s year-round ales such as IPA and White Rascal will be the first to return, with more limited releases and seasonals (Rumpkin, anyone?) following soon after. A welcome back party will be held at Papago Brewing Co. November 14.
