For fans of Barrio Cafe, chef Silvana Salcido Esparza’s home of modern Mexican eats, Saturdays just got a lot more lively.
After 12 years, Esparza’s restaurant will open on Saturday afternoons — starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2 — for brunch, happy hour, and live music.

Barrio Cafe’s new Saturday happy hour will happen from 2 to 5 p.m. with deals like tacos for $1.50 and half-off all alcohol.
“That means the expensive stuff, too!” Esparza says.
Like Sundays, Barrio Cafe’s Saturday eats will include the full menu plus the brunch menu shown below.
