Phoenix Public Market Cafe has been carrying Cartel coffee since the beginning, but now the partnership is about to become a two-way street. That’s because, starting this week, all of the Valley Cartel Coffee locations will carry pastries made from the Phoenix bakery and cafe, which is good news if you love PPMC’s lemon bars, but you live in Tempe or Scottsdale.

Truthfully, we’re pretty much heartbroken that we’ll be saying goodbye to Cartel’s breakfast croissants, filled with eggs, cheese, and bacon, as well as the savory scones that constituted a quick grab-and-go breakfast on many mornings. However, lead baker Katherine Dwight will be whipping up the PPMC pastry line-up for Cartel now, which will include all natural options like savory pie pockets, nudder butters, scones, sweet breads, and gluten-free muffins.

Dwight’s pastries are available now at the downtown Phoenix, Old Town Scottsdale, Tempe, and Sky Harbor Cartel locations.
