Mellow Mushroom’s menu and prices sure have changed a lot since the first shop opened in Atlanta in 1974. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Mellow Mushroom is doing a trippy time warp and sending both back to the way they were when the restaurant opened, which means cheap beer and pizza.

You can order from Mellow Mushroom’s original menu all day today to celebrate the pizza chain’s 40 years of making pies. $2.50 small cheese pizzas and 30-cent fountain drinks are available as well as 75-cent Bud, Michelob, and PBR.
Mellow Mushroom bills itself as stone-baked pizza, which is probably only partially a stoner reference. The dough is hand-tossed, somewhere between thick Detroit- and Chicago-style pizzas and thin New York- or Neapolitan-style pizzas, and brushed with garlic butter.
