Chicago Hamburger Company, the popular Arcadia eatery from ex-Chicagoan Bob Pappanduros, may be most known for its Windy City sliders, Chicago hot dogs, and thick banana shakes, but last Friday, it added something a bit bigger to its menu — big-ass burger bigger.
Aptly named, Bob’s Big Ass Burger, the new creation from Pappanduros goes for $8.25 and features two 1/3 pound broiled chuck patties, cheddar, provolone, and American cheeses, sautéed onions, three strips of bacon, three onion rings, and a side of Thousand Island dressing.
Per the restaurant’s Facebook page, Pappanduros says the idea of a monster signature burger came from his wife (who also said he should start taking credit cards six years ago) and that the new creation “won’t add years to your life expectancy, but if, during those waking years, you want one pretty dang great burger…well, this one may do.”
