What’s in a name?
In the case of Bad Mother Cluckers, a new late-night, fowl-filled eatery in Tempe’s Mill Avenue District, chicken — and lots of it.
Set to open on Friday, August 24, Bad Mother Cluckers (BMC) will feature signature rotisserie and fire-grilled chicken as well as salads, sides, beer, and wine in a newly remodeled indoor dining space and outdoor patio.
Read on to find out about BMC’s special grand opening plans, especially for ASU students (hint: free chicken), and learn more about its “coop.”

Located at 26 East University, in a once-abandoned building just off Mill Avenue, BMC’s new “coop” comes from months of cleaning up, remodeling, and doing major repairs on a structure that’s been vacant for years.
And if you’re an ASU student, BMC’s grand opening, happening from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 24, and from noon to 3 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, means free chicken when you flash your student ID.
