Opened in May 2010, the Shaws’ Glendale location of Bueno Burger Mex American Grill closed in the fall 2011, just a month after the Scottsdale Bueno Burger opened for business in October in a former Boston Market at Indian Bend and Hayden roads.

Even Bueno Burger’s signature “Scottsdale Burger,” designed by the Shaws’ friend, Posh chef Joshua Hebert, wasn’t enough to keep the doors open.

Like the original location in Glendale, Bueno Burger focused on burgers, beef hot dogs, burritos, and beer on tap. Burgers were cooked to order with many of the eats prepared on the Shaws’ mesquite wood grill.

Bueno called its toppings “Betterments” and its side dishes, “Bueno Benefits.”
