Anise, a stylish Vietnamese restaurant located at one of the Valley’s biggest hubs for Asian cuisine, has closed its doors.

Situated near the intersection of Dobson and Warner Roads in Chandler — across from Lee Lee Oriental Grocery Store, catty-corner from Lee’s Sandwiches, and close to C-Fu and Shimogamo — the eatery served traditional Vietnamese eats in a more upscale atmosphere than the typical hole-in-the-wall ethnic joint.

A note on the Anise website reads, “We strived to provide the best foods at reasonable prices to introduce a taste of Vietnam, and a pleasant dining experience, but we could no longer sustain the high rent incurred. Thank you again.”
