Another local gem has shut its doors recently: Second Line Creole Caribbean Cuisine.

At least, we can probably assume that from the “closed” sign in the window during its usual business hours, and the disconnected phone number.

New Orleans native Duma Shange had opened the south Phoenix restaurant back in January. As of the last time I stopped by for a catfish po boy and some creole sweet potatoes, half of the menu was not available, and my waiter promised that menu changes were in the works.

Too bad they didn’t last very long.
