Bubbles, bubbles everywhere — or, at least there were up until last week. That’s when Narcisse Champagne & Tea Lounge, the luxurious, 6,000-square-foot hangout featuring over 200 kinds of bubbly, shut its doors for good.
Narcisse, which opened in January 2011 in the Scottsdale Quarter, came courtesy of Tom Zummo and Todd Rosenbaum, who, the Republic reports, were former partners at Axis/Radius, Myst, and Sandbar Mexican Grill. Known primarily for its champagne offerings, the upscale lounge also offered an afternoon tea service and tapas-style eats created by chef Nate Woods (formerly of Fox Restaurant Concepts).
Fans of Narcisse learned of its closing through an obscure Facebook post.
“Mirror, mirror is it true?” asked a graphic posted on October 29. Two days later, a final message appeared on Narcisse’s Facebook page which read:
