The spot that used to house Fine’s Cellar is finally getting new life — and in this incarnation, it will once again be a wine bar/restaurant.
Set to open in early December, 5th and Wine (in Old Town Scottsdale at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Marshall Way, 7051 E. 5th Ave.) is the latest venture from the same folks who own Humble Pie pizzeria, Rich Sullivan, Tom Kaufman, Patrick King and Dave Dabruzz.
It will be open daily, serving “wine duets” (a tasting of two wines that you can compare and contrast) and simple American food like shrimp cocktail, chicken wings, Caesar salad, and a few dishes from Humble Pie, including turkey chili and strawberry gorgonzola salad.
Along with 5th and Wine, these guys have yet another hangout in the works, and you know it will be big on wine. Look for The Living Room Wine Cafe & Lounge in Chandler, opening in January.
