No, your eyes do not deceive you. And, no, you’re not the only one freaking out.

We’ll admit we were pretty flustered when we first saw the sign posted at the counter at Pho Thanh, the popular Vietnamese restaurant at 1702 West Camelback Road in Phoenix. But according to both the sign and the person working the counter, the restaurant will indeed be closed for nearly a month this spring.

The hiatus will start on Monday, February 8, in celebration of the Lunar New Year and will run through Saturday, March 5. The restaurant will reopen on Sunday, March 6.

During the restaurant’s four-week closure, you’ll probably be looking for alternate spots to get an excellent affordable bowl of pho. We suggest trying Da Vang, another well-loved Vietnamese restaurant located just a few blocks away at 4538 North 19th Avenue.
