If word of mouth is any indication, I think the new Downtown Pita Jungle could become a smokin’ success. Seems like I’ve heard people talk about this almost as much as the entire CityScape development.

Well, it’s finally about to open. I spoke with Kristen Howard in the corporate office, who confirmed that the restaurant’s management is now hiring and doors will be open in mid-to-late November.

Located inside the historic Gold Spot (1001 N. 3rd Ave.) — a 1925 building that hasn’t been fully occupied since its high-profile renovation several years ago — this will be the tenth Valley location for the popular restaurant, which serves affordable, healthful Middle Eastern fare in a hip setting.

Expect a similar vibe to Pita Jungle’s other spots, lunch and dinner service, a full bar, and a patio out back.
