Relax.Decorated Chef Eddie Matney isn’t leaving the valley for greener pastures.

But apparently he is trying on a new role — as a poet. We received this quirky little verse today advertising the December specials at Eddie’s House, 7042 E. Indian School Rd. in Scottsdale, and thought we’d pass along the holiday cheer.

‘Twas the first week in December and all through Eddie’s House,
Lamb Chops were grilling, in mint pesto they were doused,

The wreath was hung on the front door with care,
With hopes that the Candy Cane Cheesecake was there,

Our chefs were dreaming of SPECIALS for diners in tow,
With visions of RIBEYES and OSSO BU-CCO,

Jennifer was taking care of all our guests,
While Chef Eddie was schmoozing what he does the best!

When out by the bar, a clatter arose,
RUBY RED MARTINIS, they started to flow,
Danny and Val were mixing and shaking,
The patrons were dazzled, they all were ‘awaking’!

Back to the kitchen, pans flying and flipping,
Chef Tiger and crew are creating food finger licking!

So come down to Eddie’s House this weekend for holiday fun,
Don’t forget we have gift certificates for your loved ones!

If you want to celebrate at home but need a fix of Eddie,
Let us come to your house to cater, we’re ready!

$30,000

We’re thinking Eddie should stick to cooking his delicious lamb chops with mint pesto. Or the allspice chicken with pumpkin-currant spaetzle, a fall favorite. Or the bacon-infused meatloaf. Or…well, you get the picture. It’s all delicious.

If you’re looking for holiday gift ideas, pick up a discounted gift certificate for Eddie’s House and other local restaurants at AZ Eats.
