As even further proof that artisanal beer is making headway in the wine-centric world of fine dining, a handful of Valley restaurants have begun serving Estrella Damm Inedit, a beer developed by the legendary Spanish chef Ferran Adria, along with Juli Soler and El Bulli’s team of sommeliers.

FnB, Posh, and Prado include it in their beverage programs now.
What’s so special about the beer? Certainly the celebrity behind it is the real cachet. The makers claim it is “the first beer specifically created to accompany food.”
But it’s indeed very palatable, a brew that blends barley malt and wheat for a light, crisp beer that has a whiff of coriander, orange peel, and licorice. Fruity and a touch sour, Estrella Damm Inedit is reminiscent of a Hefeweisen, but lighter bodied. Ideally, it’s served in a white wine glass so you can appreciate the aromatics.
