No, friends, it’s not too early in the day to pour yourself a cold one and raise a glass to the exciting news that the inaugural Arizona Beer Week is officially in the works.
The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild just announced that it will be kicking off the week of craft-beer-centric events on February 19 with the 11th Annual Strong Beer Fest at Steele Indian School Park.
The guild’s executive director, Jerry Gantt, tells me that as the name suggests, the festivities will be “Arizona-driven, not Phoenix-driven, and we’re pretty excited about it.” Road trip, anyone? There will be a variety of beer tastings, beer dinners, and maybe even a beer breakfast scheduled throughout the state, continuing through February 26.
Check back with Chow Bella for more event specifics as they become available.
