Who’s hungry for some hot meat?
You know you want it, and the folks at Scottsdale’s brand-new Fogo de Chao (6300 N. Scottsdale Rd.) are happy to serve it up just the way the gauchos like it in Brazil. At this traditional churrascaria, servers bring around 15 different sizzling cuts of meat and serve them tableside.
The sprawling southern Brazilian-style steakhouse is one of 13 in the U.S. and six in Brazil. Specialties include succulent picanha (a sirloin cut), bacon-wrapped filet mignon, beef ancho (a ribeye cut), linguica (pork sausage), pork ribs, and more. Prix fixe dinners also include unfettered access to a cornucopia of goodies at the well-stocked salad/side dish bar.
Dinner is $42.50 per person, not including drinks and dessert. It’s $19.50 for the salad buffet only. Kids ages 6 to 10 eat for half price, and younger children eat for free. For more information, call 480-609-8866. — Michele Laudig
