It’s fascinating to see how things play out on Twitter, and this past weekend, one restaurant owner’s whim generated a surprising amount of excitement in a very short amount of time.
Yesterday afternoon, FnB’s Pavle Milic — who deserves a “Best of Phoenix” award for his innate people skills — noticed he was a few dozen Twitter followers short of 1000, so he posted a promise to feed his 1000th follower a multi-course meal paired with Arizona wines.
“I’m interested in the power of the internet,” he says, explaining that his impulse tweet created a lot of web traffic. Within an hour, he had roughly 50 more followers, and topped out his goal by 14.
Now, he says chef Charleen Badman is on board to cook an “all-out tasting — 6 or 7 courses with wine pairings,” for every 100th follower. That means dinner for two.
Of course, if you’re into social media, you should already be following @FnBAZ. It’s the easiest way to find out about the Scottsdale eatery’s wine dinners, late-night offerings, and special events like tomorrow’s vegetarian night tasting dinner. Read on to see the menu:
