While the recent popularity of food trucks has many giddy with excitement, here’s one that literally makes tails wag — and it just might be the first food truck to cater to our four-legged friends.

Got yer ears on, Phoenix food truck hopefuls? Here’s the pooper-scoop:

Fido to Go, in Chicago, has launched a gourmutt food truck of natural, healthy dog treats, including hand-crafted canine cookies shaped like fired hydrants and bones and doggy ice creams with names like, Polar Pups and Yoghund.

And here’s a clever twist: Fido to Go merchandise bags double as biodegradable pet waste bags.

$30,000

Started by Tracy Werner and Donna Santucci, Fido to Go plans to be seen sniffing around local dog parks, beaches, and special events in the Chicago area and will also be available to cater special dog occasions and doggy birthday parties.

What say you, readers? Would a food truck for mutts work in the Valley?
