15: For the Brittle Addict: Christmas Krak from Laura’s Gourmet

You may be most familiar with Laura’s Gourmet as the Tempe-based artisan granola company launched in 2004 by owner and chef Laura Slama, whose gourmet goodies have been brought to restaurants owned by Fox Restaurant Concepts, The Royal Palms Resort, and Queen Creek Olive Mill.

Now, for the first time in seven years, Slama’s publicly breaking out of granola and into brittle — seasonal cookie brittle that is — in the form of Christmas Krak, a white chocolate and peppermint cookie brittle named for its addictiveness.

Christmas Krak retails for $7.99 for an 8 oz. bag and will be available through Saturday, December 31, at all AJ’s Fine Foods and online.

We developed Christmas Krak several years ago, only offering it at special events through Celebrated Cuisine, the sister company to Laura’s Gourmet,” says Slama. “After demand grew, we knew we had to get it into a gourmet market and with AJ’s as our exclusive partner we’re very optimistic about sales overall. AJ’s has always been a great supporter of Laura’s Gourmet.”
