If any local brew has a truly devoted fanbase, it’s Four Peaks’ Kilt Lifter (we don’t count the Pumpkin Porter because it’s only around for a small time every year). After all, there’s a reason this beer is a five-time Great American Beer Festival medal winner.

Well, if you’re one of those Scottish ale lovers, you’re in for a treat because Four Peaks Brewing Co. and Von Hanson’s Meats & Spirits are joining forces all month long to serve up some bratwurst made with the brew.

According to Four Peaks’ Greg Ross, the special edition brats have a “smooth and savory with a sweet malty finish, just like Kilt Lifter.”

The Kilt Lifter Brat will make its debut at Four Peaks Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake on October 10-12. However, Von Hanson’s Chandler location will also begin selling the beer brats on October 10 in case you can’t make it to the beer festival.

The local meat shop will make 25,000 bratwursts total for the event with 10 percent of all Kilt Lifter brat sales going to the Four Peaks Brewing Foundation. The newly created organization supports Arizona-based non-profits. All you have to do is order a brat at Oktoberfest and feel good about helping out.
