Touting servers in cheerleader outfits and grub at five bucks and unde — and with a tagline stating, “Every Inch Is An Adventure,” — Fritz’s Footlong, a new hot dog joint, has opened its doors on the northwest corner of Main Street and Gilbert Road in Mesa — in the former home of Smokey’s Bar & Grill.
The cash-only hot dog spot will feature New York’s quarter-pound, all-beef Sabrett Hot Dogs, Polish dogs, bratwursts, spicy dogs, footlong dogs, a burger-and-bacon hoagie, and a diced-chicken hoagies. There also are more than 20 topping options for your sandwiches. All meals are $5 and are served with fries.
If you’re thirsty, there’s beer, wine, and soda — and service comes courtesy of “Fritz’s Girls.” And just so no one feels left out, Fritz’s says it’s also family- friendly, biker-friendly, and all-ages.
