If there was ever a day to celebrate food and the culinary arts, Julia Child’s 100th birthday seems a fitting time.
Several Phoenix restaurants collaborated on the national Julia Child restaurant week, which ends today. And as of 12:30 p.m., there were still a few tickets available to the Julia Child 100th Birthday Dinner at Quiessence. You can find tickets to the event here.

Julia Child, who stood at 6-foot-2-inches tall, was both a brilliant chef, and a larger than life personality. But the author of the groundbreaking book Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and most importantly, the woman responsible for introducing mainstream America to sophisticated French cuisine, has quite the cool quotient as well.
