Isn’t this supposed to be fro-yo season?

Ice Tango, LLC filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy (which prevents creditors from collecting on any debts) on Tuesday, for the Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard location that closed at the end of January.

According to David Cha, general manager of Ice Tango’s other two locations — one at Hilton Village, and a brand-new one that just opened in Old Town Scottsdale — Ice Tango is not a franchise, so each location is a separate entity.

It turns out that each location is its own separate LLC, although Susie Cha, one of the owners of the now-defunct original location, is listed as sole owner of the other two LLCs.

In any case, David Cha said that although the original Ice Tango was losing thousands of dollars a month, the newer Hilton Village spot is doing well.

As for the new place in Old Town (4020 N. Scottsdale Rd., just south of Indian School), there will be a grand opening celebration this Friday and Saturday, with a half-price discount on everything.
