Now, Chu is ready to show off the new, still-chic and former Sens (officially SoChu House Neo Asian + Martini Bar) to the public with a grand opening on Thursday, July 19.

From 5 p.m. until close on Thursday, July 19, SoChu House will be celebrating its grand opening with wine and sake tastings, food and drink specials, and live entertainment.

Reservations are required. To make them, call 602-340-9777.

Like Sens, ShoChu’s dishes will focus on fresh ingredients and unique spices and seasonings. The menu will feature global Asian cuisine with eastern and western influences. Martinis and cocktails will also be available, and the restaurant will carry an extensive list of shochu, a Japanese vodka-like liquor.

Chu also plans to open a new restaurant at 10738 North 75th Avenue in Peoria later this summer — an “Asian chop house” called Lantern.
