Forks up, Phoenix! Chow Bella and Roosevelt Row present the fourth annual Pie Social from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 16, at the “What Should Go Here” Pop Up Park at Second and Roosevelt streets. We’ve got an all-star lineup of bakers making pies for you to taste, and from now till Pie Social, we’ll introduce them to you, one by one. Today: LaDawn Driscoll of Liberty Market
While LaDawn Driscoll is known for her innovative and delicious pastry work at The Herb Box in Scottsdale, she just transitioned from that kitchen over to Liberty Market. Her first official act as the Liberty pastry maven will be her entry in this year’s Pie Social. Despite desperately needing a weekend off between starting her new job and putting in place a new menu at Herb Box before she leaves, she’s got her head in the game concocting all sorts of exciting pie ideas with ingredients like sweet potato, butterscotch and banana. Her responses to our questionnaire mirror her playful, unique baking.
