Ling and Louie, meet Randy and Michael. Oh, and Jason. Him, too.

More specifically, Randy Schoch, Michael McDermott, and Jason Merritt. They’re the restaurateurs bringing a new kind of Ling & Louie’s, the Asian bar and grill with locations in Chandler and Scottsdale (and five other cities in the U.S.) to Biltmore Fashion Park in December.

Called Ling & Louie’s Kitchen, the new concept will be decidedly more upscale. One that McDermott, whose also had a hand in developing Kona Grill, describes as “an inviting but edgy lunch and dinner destination in a category of all its own to the Biltmore area.”

$30,000

And since Schoch, who helped develop the original Ling & Louie’s concept, and McDermott and Merritt, who own Black Chile Mexican Grill, all have a hand in Ling & Louie’s Kitchen, moving the new restaurant into the Black Chile space shouldn’t be an issue. In fact, the move into the 7,500 square-foot space starts today.

What can diners expect? Brace yourselves for New Wave Pad Thai.

Similar to the Ling & Louie’s story (where Ling’s Asian flair meets Louie’s American comfort food), Ling & Louie’s Kitchen will kick it up a notch with twists on American favorites including salads, burgers, and sandwiches.

Signature dishes will include Firecracker Chicken, Black Orchid Ahi, Braised Duck Flatbread, and New Wave Pad Thai. And guests can expect a variety of specialty cocktails (think Ling’s Margarita) as well as beer, including the locally brewed Ling & Louie’s Copper Ale, and sake.
