A 30-foot ficus tree, a patio lined by French Quarter gas lamps and an eight-foot ivy wall, and, as their Facebook page states, a “man cave” and “one hell of a martini,” will be a few of the focal points at Kelly’s at Southbridge, the new American pub and grill at 7117 East Sixth Avenue in Old Town, across from Cowboy Ciao in the former home of The Private Rack.
The 8,000-square-foot Kelly’s opened on Monday with a small menu of pub classics with a twist courtesy of chef Steve “Chops” Smith, whose former gigs have included St. Francis and the now-closed Luc’s, the luxury El Pedregal restaurant, where he was executive chef.
“We plan to bring flair to the food we are serving in our warm and inviting venue,” says Smith. “Our high-quality menu is full of original recipes that will appeal to a wide range of foodies.”
Curious? Here’s the menu.
