Northern Nevada’s award-winning pizza has made its way to The Valley of the Sun just in time for summer. The family owned and operated Brugos Pizza Co. recently opened its first Arizona location in the upscale digs of the Esplanade business and retail complex.
Christina and Troy McDonald opened their first pizza shop in Carson City, Nevada back in 2008 and shortly thereafter they opened a second location in Reno. After selling their Carson City spot, the husband and wife team made their dream of moving to Arizona a reality.
The self-proclaimed “fancy pizza place” makes everything — dough to sauce — from scratch, using what they describe as fresh, high quality ingredients and has everything from your classic margarita to more creative pies like the Chili Mac and the Braveheart with white sauce, sausage, BBQ sauced chicken, Dorritos, jalapenos, onion, 2 different cheeses and more BBQ sauce. Whoa!
