Just in time to get up and running for St. Patrick’s Day, the owners of Seamus McCaffrey’s have opened a new restaurant/watering hole in downtown, called The Turf Restaurant & Pub.
The place opened quietly this past Saturday, and will continue its soft opening this week with evening-only hours, from 5 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The menu is currently limited to lighter fare, such as buffalo chicken wraps.
The Turf will also be serving lunch — tentatively starting next week — and will offer a full menu of Irish and American dishes, from roasted garlic tilapis with Spanish rice and sauteed vegetables, to classic pub fare like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and corned beef and cabbage.
Check it out at 705 N. 1st Street, in the same building that houses Sens and PastaBar.
