Nourish opened last Wednesday on the ground floor of Optima Camelview, those eye-catching condos just north of Fashion Square that are also home to upscale dining spot Posh (7147 E. Rancho Vista Dr., Scottsdale).
So far, I have an odd impression of the place. I tried calling to get more info, and was hung up on by three different people before I even had a chance to finish a sentence.
Owner Kirstin Carey is certified speaking professional whose wheat allergy and lactose intolerance inspired her to create an eatery that would promote nutrition along with tasty dishes.
While the restaurant’s website describes the food as “comfort food with a healthy twist,” that translates to American-meets-Mediterranean fare such as lemon-garlic roasted chicken with black bean couscous and confetti veggies, crispy baked eggplant and spinach parmesan, sandwiches, salads, and vegan burgers served on whole wheat buns or gluten-free baguettes. Nourish serves lunch and dinner.
