Just in time for holiday food shopping — and refueling after hitting the malls — Oakville Grocery opens today at the Scottsdale Quarter, 15015 N. Scottsdale Rd.

The gourmet specialty store, founded in Napa Valley, boasts two well-known local talents on its staff, chef Walter Sterling (Autostrada, Sol y Sombra, Mary Elaine’s) and wine director David Johnson (Sol y Sombra).

So besides picking up some MJ Bread, fresh meat, prepared foods, wine, artisanal cheeses, and other goodies, shoppers will be able to sit down and dig in to signature dishes prepared right in Oakville Grocery’s own open kitchen bistro, while enjoy affordable, interesting wines by the glass selected by Johnson. Before you leave, perk up with a drink from the espresso bar.

Official grand opening events are planned for the weekend of January 15 to 17.
