Do you ever think, “I should create a website where you input what you have in the fridge and what you are craving and your dietary wishes and it would spit out a bunch of awesome recipes to choose from?”
Well, the people behind GoJee.com have already beat you to it.
When news happens, Phoenix New Times is there —
Your support strengthens our coverage.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
GoJee aggregates interesting recipes from great food blogs and takes into consideration your hankerings and what you have on hand.
Brilliant!
Here’s an example: we input eggplant, zucchini and onions. We got Sabich (Eggplant Sandwich With Hard Boiled Eggs), Spicy Summertime Ratatouille with Mint, Ratatouille Gratin and Eggplant-Tomato Tartare.
You can save any recipe you like for later and GoJee gives you the choice to link to your supermarket rewards card where it will make suggestions based upon your purchases. You can also add to your account what foods you never want to see (like cilantro).
You do have to enter your email address and a password to get started. We also input a simple ingredient, chorizo, and nothing came up. So, we suspect there’s some development ahead of them but a fun way to hunt for recipes.
It’s like having your own Rosie from The Jetsons. Check it out: GoJee.
