Once more, the stretch of Indian School Road between 36th and 56th streets is proving to be hot property for restaurant, drinking, and, now, cooking-related establishments.

Joining the likes of a (coming soon) second location of Sushi Brokers, The Little Woody bar, and O.H.S.O. Eatery and NanoBrewery will be the new location of Phoenix Knife House, the Valley’s go-to (and only) specialty cutlery shop, owned by former chef Eytan Zias.

Zias says the new space, at 4837 Indian School Road (just east of 48th Street in a strip mall with Arcadia Flowers and get-the-wings JT’s Bar and Grill), will be larger than the shop’s current digs in Scottsdale and that he hopes to open in mid-September.

Opened in 2007, Phoenix Knife House specializes in Japanese and custom professional kitchen cutlery, hand-sharpening, and repair for both the culinary industry and the home cook.
