Sushi restaurants are clearly not evenly distributed in the Valley.
I can think of at least half a dozen, off the top of my head, that are in or around Old Town Scottsdale, but downtown Phoenix only has one, Moira Sushi. Later this summer, though, a new spot called Silk will bring the number to two.
According to the Republic, restaurateur Jimmy Carlin (Humble Pie, Blue Wasabi, etc.) plans to open the upscale pan-Asian/sushi spot at downtown’s new CityScape development, opening around Labor Day.
Other restaurants in the works for the multi-use complex include LGO Public House, Oakville Grocery, Blu Burger Grill, The Breakfast Club, Mojo Yogurt, Press Coffee, and Asian and Mexican joints from Aaron May (Overeasy, Mabel’s on Main, The Lodge).
