On the heels of opening Barrio Queen, the casual Mexican eatery, tequileria, and bakery on December 26, Barrio Cafe owner and chef Silvana Salcido Esparza has announced she’ll open her latest restaurant, Silvana Bistro, this Friday, January 6, in the SouthBridge space in Old Town Scottsdale that previously housed Metro Brasserie.
Silvana Bistro, named after Esparza’s maternal grandmother and namesake, is a decidedly more upscale dining experience than Barrio Queen (which it sits right next door to) and will feature a small menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes focused on what Esparza defines as “the Euro Mexican cuisine known in southern Mexico.”
Like Barrio Cafe, Silvana Bistro does not take reservations. So expect to wait during prime dining hours.
