Foodbeast is hearing reports that Taco Bell is testing Doritos Locos Tacos, a new menu item that puts the all-too-familiar TB ingredients into a shell made entirely of Nacho Cheese Doritos. A YouTube video from several months ago (above) seems to confirm the snack meets taco, or snaco, hybrid is in the works and is going through test markets like Toledo, Ohio (home of M*A*S*H actor Jamie Farr!)
Will Taco Bell make Doritos Locos Tacos a nationally available item? Time will tell. Does this open the floodgates for more fast food mash-ups? Fry Girl hopes so. Bring on the Funyuns Burger and the Cheetos Chalupa, please — DONG!
