Though it won’t have its official grand opening until next weekend, The Kettle Black Kitchen & Pub is now serving a limited menu of bar fare and drinks in downtown Phoenix. The restaurant is located at 1 North First Avenue, next door to La Pizza Locale. 

As it currently stands, the restaurant’s menu includes options such as mussels, wings, and crab cakes, along with a selection of burgers, salads, entrees. Down the line, expect more “pub favorites,” including dishes like shepherd’s pie to complement dishes including fish and chips, peppercorn steak, and chicken kebabs.

The pub’s cocktail list includes concoctions such as the 1st & Washington, made with bourbon, vermouth, Ancho Reyes liqueur, and walnut bitters and the Broken China, featuring gin, Bigalette China China, lime juice, and passion fruit.

Next Friday, February 12, the restaurant will celebrate its grand opening weekend with live music from Authority Zero singer Jason Devore at 9 p.m. Saturday will bring live performances by Andres Rodriquez, in addition to drinks and food specials. And on Sunday, the restaurant will wrap things up with Sunday Funday brunch, which will include $15 bottomless mimosas and live music with Frank Mackey at 1 p.m.
