Did you know The Living Room on 2333 North 7th Street is transforming into a Humble Pie? I found out when I attempted to pop in for lunch today, thanks to a sign on the door.
A source told me the decision to change The Living Room Wine Cafe and Lounge in Phoenix (not yet open a year), to a Humble Pie, the gourmet pizzeria with locations in Scottsdale and the Desert Ridge area, came via a co-owner of both restaurants, Tom Kaufman, who says he had a good reason for making the switch.
The reason? Pizza.
It seems The Living Room diners kept asking for pizza so Kaufman decided to give it to them by transforming The Living Room into a Humble Pie. I’m told the new Humble Pie location will be serving up its gourmet pizzas in addition to keeping many of The Living Room’s menu items (like their crazy-good fries). The Living Room location in Chandler will remain the same.
