The Mint, the swanky restaurant and ultra-lounge in Scottsdale, might have gleaned its name from its former bank location, but at its Paint it Pink benefit for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the former financial institution is going the giving route.
Starting at 3 p.m., this Thursday, October 6, The Mint invites philanthropists and party people alike to “paint the night pink” for a special breast cancer benefit.
Along with Asian-style eats courtesy of chef Johnny Chu, The Mint’s Paint it Pink benefit also includes two pink cocktails, live music, a pink fashion show, and a huge blank canvas that guests will help turn into a charitable work of auction-ready art with the help of local Phoenix artist, Banding Hendrix.

The Mint’s Paint it Pink Benefit for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Thursday, October 6 (starts at 3 p.m.)

– Live Music
– Eats Appetizingly attractive Asian-style dishes crafted by Executive Chef Johnny Chu.
– Cocktails Two pink-colored cocktails for guests to enjoy, The Pink On the Rocks made with fresh muddled raspberries, SKYY pineapple vodka, pineapple juice, agave and lime juice and the Life Savings made with strawberries, basil, Ulimat vodka, St. Germain and ginger soda.
– Art There will be a larger-than-life blank canvas ready to be transformed into a charitable work of art by guests attending. Local Phoenix artist, Banding Hendrix will assist and guide guests as they craft the painting into a masterpiece. The final product will be auctioned off on Thursday, October 27th at The Mint’s Pretty in Pink event, which will also benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
