After nine months, $8 million in renovations, and nary a peep to anyone, The Post, an American restaurant inside The Wren, a Crowne Plaza Hotel at 44th and Washington streets (near Sky Harbor International Airport), will open Friday, January 31.
“Check everything you thought you knew about hotel food at the door,” says Dennis Delamater, The Post’s executive chef. “We’re not a typical ‘hotel restaurant’; We’re a restaurant that just happens to be at a hotel.”

Delamater, a Wisconsin native who has cooked at Chandler’s Citrus Cafe, The Estate House in Scottsdale, and Franco’s Trattoria, will bring a seasonally revolving menu to The Post. His contemporary American dishes and pastries — many with a Southwestern slant — will incorporate local ingredients.
